Todd Frazier delivered an R.B.I. double to cap a three-run second inning and added a solo homer in the seventh as the Mets beat the San Francisco Giants, 5-3, Wednesday at Citi Field.

The Mets have won the middle two games of the four-game series and 12 of their last 19. The Giants have lost six of seven and have lost 12 of 19 since Aug. 1.

Noah Syndergaard (9-3) earned the win after giving up two runs on five hits and one walk while striking out six over six innings.

Dominic Smith led off the second with a long homer into the second deck in right field against Giants starter Casey Kelly (0-2) before the Mets added two unearned runs with two outs on hits by Jeff McNeil and Frazier.

Mets outfielder Jose Bautista homered with two outs in the fourth before Frazier closed out his third multi-R.B.I. game of the month.

McNeil also had two hits for the Mets. He collected hits in eight straight plate appearances dating back to Sunday before grounding out in the fourth.
