What’s Streaming

FOLLOW THIS Netflix. In the debut of this 20-episode Buzzfeed News documentary series, the journalist Scaachi Koul reports on autonomous sensory meridian response — or A.S.M.R., a tingly sensation that can be relaxing and which many are now seeking out in person or on videos. In Episode 2, the journalist Bim Adewunmi talks to black survivalists who train other people of color to prepare for disasters. Subsequent episodes include a look at an intersex community in Germany and the world of men’s rights activism. The series’ first seven episodes are available on Netflix — with each episode running about 15 minutes. The remaining episodes will be made available in September and November.

What’s on TV

AMERICAN WOMAN 10 p.m. on the Paramount Network. Alicia Silverstone struggled through a few flops and a media backlash after her initial success playing Cher in the 1995 comedy “Clueless.” She’s found her footing, though, in “American Woman,” as Bonnie Nolan, a 1970s housewife who strikes out on her own when she discovers her husband is having an affair. With the help of her best friends, Kathleen (Mena Suvari) and Diana (Jennifer Bartels), Bonnie must find a way to raise her two daughters by herself. In this season finale, though, Bonnie considers giving her husband a second chance. The series is inspired by the real-life childhood of the co-executive producer Kyle Richards.

QUEEN OF THE SOUTH 9 p.m. on USA. In this English-language adaptation of “La Reina del Sur,” a novel by Arturo Pérez-Reverte, Teresa Mendoza (Alice Braga) is forced to flee Mexico when her boyfriend is murdered. She makes her way to the United States, where she works to take down the leader of a drug ring that is after her. Soon, however, Teresa ends up running her own drug empire. In this episode, Teresa travels to Bolivia to prove her loyalty to El Santo, a drug lord who operates a multinational operation out of the infamous San Pedro Prison there. The series is a remake of a telenovela that aired on Telemundo in 2011.

SNOWFALL 10 p.m. on FX. Season 1 of “Snowfall” featured Franklin Saint (Damson Idris) finding his footing in the nascent crack cocaine business with the help of an Israeli crime kingpin, Avi Drexler (Alon Aboutboul). In Season 2, he is stepping into his own and expanding his reach. Additional plotlines involve a C.I.A. agent, Teddy McDonald (Carter Hudson), and the villainous Lucia Villanueva (Emily Rios), who wants to establish her own distribution network for cocaine. The series is set against the backdrop of the Reagan administration. In this episode, Franklin will try to retrieve stolen merchandise, but to do so he’ll have to deal with his past.
